Inspired by Bowie, the punk scene, and some classic Halloween freaks, we've got four ultra-glittery looks for you to try out this spooky szn.
A glittery twist on the classic skeleton makeup. Use your favorite drug store products to create the base and outlines of a skeleton face, then top with blue loose glitter and blue glitter gel, or our galactic blue BIO glitter gel. Watch the step-by-step video tutorial here.
Let the glitter do the talking on this one. If you're not a huge Halloween fan but want to glam up your look for the 'ween, try this. Use your favorite shade of eyeshadow as a base for whatever design you have in mind – a beard outline works great! Then cover with glitter gel. Dab a little loose glitter under your eyes and on your lips, and don't forget to slick some glitter gel in your hair. Pair with a fringe shirt, denim jacket, and retro sunglasses. So. Fresh.
Keep it "natural" with this badass floral number. Use your favorite eyeliner to draw the base of a flower and vines around your eyes. Fill in the petals with loose glitter and glitter gel. Don't forget to add some to your lips while you're at it. Put on your favorite sparkly top and let your hair down. Your inner flower child will thank you.
Sparkles can be scary, too. First create a base with white cream makeup or powder on your face. Then, add black eyeshadow around your eyes with a dark lip. Top with gold loose glitter, fangs, and fake blood. Watch the full makeup tutorial here to transform yourself into a glitter vampire.
A Bowie-inspired eye makes this look really pop. Use pink, blue, and purple eyeshadow to create the base shape, and top with loose glitter and glitter gel. Pick your favorite lip color and add some glitter gloss. Throw on a structured blazer, tailored pant, and channel your inner Ziggy Stardust. Get the full how-to here.
The spooky [read: sparkly] szn is upon us and we've got some ultra-glittery looks for you to try out come October 31st or, maybe, all month long?
Inspired by the kaleidoscopic makeup of Euphoria—you know you love it—we've got you covered (in glitter, of course) with looks that scream Gen Z party gyal. So let's get freaky. 👻
1. Go overboard with gold glitter and top with some stars for a fierce, galactic look.
2. Slick on your favorite eyeliner and add a blue glitter lip. Throw on your faux-fur jacket and you're good to go.
3. Swirl together our loose glitters and apply with our cotton-candy primer to create a highlight that can't be missed. Don't forget glitter gloss to finish the look.
4. Our take on glitter tears. Layer glitter gel to get that dewy, sobbing-but-smiling look. Add your boldest lip color topped with pink loose glitter for the ultimate pout.
Extra tip: For a rainbow effect that sparkles no matter what light you're in, mix our loose glitters and apply to cheekbones or lips. Start with a layer of bold lip liner for a colorful pop or add some glitter gloss and hit the dance floor. Or your couch.
Last year, after discovering the not-so sparkly side of glitter, we committed to launch a new, more eco-friendly line of glitter cosmetics in 2019. Today, we’re happy to announce we’re making good on that promise.
Following our announcement, our small team — there are just 14 of us! — has been working tirelessly, investigating the relationship between glitter and the environment, experimenting with materials that break down organically, and working with industry leaders to ensure we can provide top quality glitter products without contributing to the environmental problem. Although there are no current regulations around the sale of glitter, we saw this is a chance for our small company to lead the way and become an agent for change.
Enter Unicorn Snot BIO, a line of cruelty-free glitter cosmetics made from 100% renewable plant starches. Arriving summer 2019, our BIO line comprises a Glitter Gel, Glitter Lip Gloss, and Glitter Sunscreen. The biodegradable glitter or “bioglitter” used in the line is safer for the environment than traditional plastic glitter, without losing any of its sparkle.
It’s been an exciting challenge to take on, but it sure hasn’t been easy. As of today, there are just a handful of bioglitter shades available that have the same iridescent sparkle as our traditional glitter, but none of these are completely biodegradable. Bioglitter breaks down and degrades faster than traditional forms of PET-based glitter, making it safer for the environment, but it’s still not perfect.
For now, we’re doing the best we can by the environment, but this is only the beginning. As the demand for bioglitter continues to increase and more options become available, we will continue to lead the way — expanding our product line with the most eco-friendly glitter possible, and consistently striving to do the best we can to take care of the beautiful planet we call home.
Stay tuned, and sparkle on.

Valentine’s Day plans? Nope? We got you.
If you’re as unfazed about February 14th as we are (commercialized romance? 😷) and would rather spend it curled up on the couch indulging in some high-level self care or kicking it with your gal pals, we’re right there with you.
Galentine’s Day falls on February 13th, and is a non-official holiday for “ladies celebrating ladies” (à la Leslie Knope), but this year we’re making it official. Whether you’re spending the big 1-3 on your own or inviting over the girl gang, we’ve put together this simple, how-to guide for throwing a Galentine’s Day party that won’t break the bank – or your soul.
How does takeout, tequila, and glitter sound? What about a cheese plate and a truckload of positive affirmations? From paloma recipes to playlist suggestions, we’ve got you covered (and not entirely in glitter, we promise).
First thing's first: Don’t 👏 do 👏 too 👏 much. Galentine’s Day is all about celebrating the incredible women in your life, and that includes you. Keep it simple and enjoy the company instead. In other words, throw a party that makes you feel good.
To drink:
Sparkling Cranberry Mule
(Recipe serves 4)
6 oz vodka
Juice of one lime (save rind for garnish)
2 oz cranberry juice
12 oz ginger beer
Optional: Strawberry rope for garnish
Mix all ingredients together in a jug, garnish, and voila! Oh, by the way, a standard shot glass is about 1 oz, so you can use that in place of fancy measuring tools – or just eyeball the measurements and adjust to taste. What could go wrong?!
Hint: Sass up your mules by adding some sparkly straws (biodegradable of course). Try these.
To eat:
Decadent Treat Platter (or cheese platter – whatever you’re into!)
Handy hints for putting your platter together:
To listen:
Throw on the empowering tunes of Spotify’s Galentine’s Day playlist or create your own!
Hint: If you’re putting together your own playlist, why not make it collaborative? Ask your gals to add their 10 favorite, empowering songs sung by female artists or bands. See here.
To do:
Glitter bomb your girl gang! No, seriously. Stock up on Unicorn Snot and give each other glitter makeovers – the sort of looks you wish you could wear to work every day. Ask everyone to bring their most outrageous outfits, and get dressed up to stay in. Or wear your sweats. Play games, share what you’re proud of, make friendship bracelets, have a movie marathon – do whatever it is that makes you feel good.
Hint: Make the evening phone free. Have a bag or bowl ready, and ask everyone to put their phones in it when they arrive, and keep one phone out for music and photos only! You’ll have so much more fun – trust us.
Planning to stay in for the night? Throw a party for yourself – whatever that looks like to you. Pour yourself a drink, put on your favorite movie or that new series you’ve been saving up to binge watch, wrap yourself in your favorite robe, and CHILL. 🎉 Here are our suggestions:
Before you start:
DIY Hydrating Face Mask
(Recipe makes 1 mask)
½ ripe avocado
1 heaping tbsp honey
Smush the ingredients together with a fork until creamy, and slather over your freshly cleansed face. Leave for 15 minutes before rinsing.
Hint: After you’ve washed your face mask off, apply moisturizer and swipe some holographic glitter gel over the top to bring out your inner sparkle.
To drink:
Unicorn Snot Spritz (like a Paloma, only waaay easier)
(Recipe serves 1)
½ can San Pellegrino Blood Orange Soda
1.5 oz tequila (we recommend Espolón)
1 lime wedge and its juice
Optional: Gummy stars for garnish (try Dylan’s Candy Bar)
Mix together tequila and soda, and squeeze in the juice of the lime wedge before slicing it in half through the flesh and sliding it onto the rim of your glass. Garnish with a gummy star, and voila!
Hint: Line the rim of your cocktail glasses with edible glitter sugar, it looks amazing and will add a little extra sweetness to your drink. Find it here.
Julianne wears Unicorn Snot holographic Glitter Gel in silver and Unicorn Snot Holographic Glitter Lip Gloss in pink.
To eat:
Order your favorite takeout. Sushi? Donuts? Can’t decide? Get both.
To listen:
Spotify’s Galentine’s Day playlist or line up your favorite albums back to back. Hairbrush karaoke anyone?
To do:
Make a Vision Board
Grab a pile of old magazines, a large piece of cardboard, a pair of scissors, and some glitter glue… then, collage! Cut out all the things you see that spark joy (yes we said it) – be it photos of places you want to travel, rooms you want to curl up in, quotes that inspire you, or words that make you feel all fuzzy inside. Use it to plan out your goals, or just to put a bunch of things you love in one place.
Whatever your Galentine’s Day plans, do something that makes you feel FABULOUS. Celebrate your womanhood, indulge in your favorite treats, and let yourself sparkle from the inside out. ✨

With the help of Rave Queen Rachel, we turned our operations coordinator Doug into a real-life Glitter Vampire, complete with fangs and blood. To create the look, we used a combination of drugstore makeup and Unicorn Snot products, making it super easy and affordable to recreate at home. A little sparkly and a lot spooky, the Glitter Vampire is sure to freak your friends out come October 31st.

Start by applying primer over clean, moisturized skin before sponging white cream makeup or face paint evenly over your face.

Using a combination of black and brown eyeshadow, brush from the top of your cheekbone towards your mouth and smudge until blended. Apply dark red liquid lip gloss.
Start to make it sparkle by applying Unicorn Snot Glitter Lip Gloss in gold.
Dab Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel in gold over eyes and cheekbones. You can even put it in your hair!
Time to get serious with your sparkle. On top of the glitter gel, apply Unicorn Snot Holographic Lip Glitter in gold over the filled-in parts of your face, and on your lips.
Finish the look with some fake blood and a pair of fangs, and voila! You're ready to suck some blood.

Hate to be the one to bring this up, but Halloween is almost here and you haven't organized your costume yet, have you? Well, we can't help you with that, but we can help you with your makeup.
The spooky season is all about being your extra self, so why not go all out this year by adding some serious sparkle to your look? From zombies to superheroes, glitter makes everything a little more magical.
With the help of Rave Queen Rachel, we turned our art director Alyssa into a Glitter Skeleton using a combination of drugstore makeup and Unicorn Snot products, making it super easy and affordable to recreate at home. Equal parts scary and sparkly, the Glitter Skeleton will have you turning heads and dropping jaws come October 31st.
Watch the video and scroll down for step-by-step instructions and a list of what you'll need.
Start by applying a primer over clean, moisturized skin before sponging white cream makeup or face paint evenly over your face.
Using a black eye pencil, draw large circles around your eyes (that Monday morning look, amirite?), and from the top of your cheekbone towards your mouth. Draw lines across each side of your hairline, and a small tear shape on the end of your nose. Use your fingers to smudge black cream makeup in each of these areas.
Using a navy eye pencil, fill in these areas and smudge some more until blended. Using the same pencil, line your lips, apply navy liquid lip gloss, and top with Unicorn Snot Glitter Lip Gloss in purple or silver. Apply mascara.
Apply Unicorn Snot Glitter Gel in silver over your painted eyes, nose and down your cheekbones.
Time to really make it sparkle. On top of the glitter gel, apply Unicorn Snot Holographic Lip Glitter in blue over the filled-in parts of your face, and on your lips. You can even put it in your hair!
Finish the look with some stick-on body jewels, and voila! You're a beautiful bag of bones.

We're all about simple-to-create looks that make a statement, which is why we l-o-v-e lip glitter. It's a quick and easy way to up your sass level and stand out from the crowd. Perfect for those days when you need to let your extra self shine.
In the tutorial above, Shauntay starts with a light layer of foundation, groomed brows, and winged eyeliner, and adds a statement glitter lip to make her look pop. She starts by priming her lips to create a smooth base before applying the loose glitter with the sponge tip on the finishing wand. She then uses the other end of the wand to brush away excess glitter, and boom!
Unicorn Snot's Holographic Lip Glitter is made for your lips, but you can use it wherever you need a little sparkle. Think glitter brows, mesmerizing eyes, or a glitter butt. You do you, babe.
Keep an eye out for more tutorials coming soon. ✨
